How to Change Your SiteWorx Password Print

  • 0

This article shows SiteWorx users how to change their own login password from within the SiteWorx control panel.

Who is this for?

  • Clients who can log in to SiteWorx and want to update their password.
  • If you can’t log in, see If you can’t log in.

Before you begin

  • Your SiteWorx login URL (typically https://yourdomain.com:2443/siteworx/ or the link in your welcome email).
  • Your current SiteWorx username and password.

Change your password (inside SiteWorx)

  1. Log in to SiteWorx via your hosting control panel link or directly at https://yourdomain.com:2443/siteworx/.
  2. In the left menu, click AdministrationUser Accounts (sometimes shown as User Management).
  3. Find your user (usually the main account) and click the Edit (pencil) icon.
  4. Enter your new password in the Password and Confirm Password fields.
  5. Click Save or Update.
  6. Log out, then log back in with your new password to confirm the change.
Tip: If your SiteWorx account has multiple users, each user can change their own password from their own login using the same steps above.

Password requirements

Your hosting plan may enforce password policy (length/complexity/history). If a save fails, try a stronger password:

  • At least 12 characters
  • A mix of upper/lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Avoid dictionary words, names, or reused passwords

Troubleshooting

  • “Password not accepted” after change: Clear your browser’s saved credentials/auto-fill for the SiteWorx site and try again.
  • Still signed in as old password: Log out of SiteWorx and fully close/reopen your browser, then log in with the new password.
  • Button greyed out / error on save: Your new password may not meet policy or the session may have timed out. Choose a stronger password and save again. If it persists, contact support.

If you can’t log in

Use the Forgot Password link on the SiteWorx login page (if enabled on your account). If you don’t see it or the reset email doesn’t arrive, please contact our support team and we’ll reset your SiteWorx password for you.

Security best practices

  • Use a unique password for SiteWorx that you don’t use anywhere else.
  • Store your password in a reputable password manager.
  • Review who has access to your SiteWorx account and remove unused users.
